Dr. Samra grew up in Markham, Ontario and received his undergraduate degree at York University. After graduating, he moved to Boston and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine, magna cum laude, from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He continued his studies at Boston University and went on to complete his Masters of Science in Dentistry and CAGS in Orthodontics and Dentofacial orthopedics.
Dr. Samra’s passion for orthodontics stems from his love of both art and science, and culminates in the excitement he gets when a patient completes treatment. For him there is no greater joy than watching patients gain confidence in their smile and improving their overall way of life.
Dr. Samra served as an Orthodontic Resident at Boston’s Franciscan Hospital for Children and performed general dentistry at Brockton Community Health Center. In 2015, he joined a 10-day mission to Panama where he provided dental restorations and oral health education for underserved children.
He is dual-board certified in Canada through the Royal College of Dentists as well as a diplomate of the American board of Orthodontics. Through the nomination of his peers, he has been voted a Top Dentist in Boston for multiple years. In 2022, he was published in the prestigious American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics for research he completed during his orthodontic residency. He is a member of the Ontario Dental Association and the Ontario Association of Orthodontists.
In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and exploring new restaurants with his wife Dr. Vincelette. He is also an avid sports fan and is looking forward to the Raptors winning their second championship in the near future!
